Egypt
The name "egypt" is purely work in progress label. The pair of finished paintings is formally so different from the others that they cannot be classified anywhere else. It is form that is key here, because for me it is perhaps the biggest departure from realistic representation at all. It is a search for a new path of pictorial expression strongly inspired by the ancient Egyptian canon.
Pilot painting - Urania, Tribute to Rony, captures the glassmaker, designer, teacher and artist Rony Plesl with his groundbreaking work of uranium glass, which, in his own words, crossed the border of glassmaking and fine art. Every detail in the painting has its meaning - from master's shoes and assistant's sneakers to the table and objects and the running dog.
In contrast to my other paintings, where the meaning is only slightly indicated and requires more of the author's explanation for an interpretation, these paintings in this more descriptive and symbol-packed mode should be legible and speak for themselves (assuming the viewer's knowledge of the basic context)
Egypt
Název "egypt" je čistě pracovní. Dvojice dokončených obrazů je od ostatních formálně natolik odlišná, že je nelze zařadit nikam jinam. Právě forma je zde klíčová, protože pro mne jde o snad největší odklon od realistického zobrazení vůbec. Jde zde o hledání nové cesty obrazového vyjádření silně inspirovaného staroegyptským kánonem.
Pilotními obraz - Urania, Pocta Ronymu, zachycuje skláře, designéra, učitele a umělce Ronyho Plesla s jeho přelomovým dílem z uranového skla, kterým podle jeho vlastních slov překročil hranici sklářství a volného umění. Každý detail na obraze má svůj význam - od mistrových střevíců i asistentových tenisek po stůl a objekty i uhánějícího psa.
Oproti mým ostatním obrazům, kde je význam pouze naznačen a žádá si více autorův výklad by měly být malby v tomto deskriptivnějším a symboly napěchovaném modu čitelné a měly mluvit, s předpokladem divákovy znalosti základního kontextu, zcela sami za sebe.
